Austin Wireless Alliance represented on ATC Board through this appointment

 

Austin, Texas – Austin Technology Council (ATC), the leading association of Central Texas business and organization executive leaders, announced that Dan Cunningham, CEO and co-founder of Raak Technologies, has been named to the ATC Board of Directors. Cunningham will represent the Austin Wireless Alliance through this appointment. This announcement follows recent news of the board appointments of Mayor Will Wynn, attorney Pike Powers, of Fulbright & Jaworski, and Fred Chang, President of Technology Strategy for SBC Operations, who was named Chairman.

Austin Technology Council (ATC), the leading association of Central Texas business and organization executive leaders, announced that Dan Cunningham, CEO and co-founder of Raak Technologies, has been named to the ATC Board of Directors. Cunningham will represent the Austin Wireless Alliance through this appointment. This announcement follows recent news of the board appointments of Mayor Will Wynn, attorney Pike Powers, of Fulbright & Jaworski, and Fred Chang, President of Technology Strategy for SBC Operations, who was named Chairman.

 

Cunningham is co-founder and CEO of Austin-based Raak Technologies, a provider of smart cards and tokens for web site security, wireless LAN authentication, and digital certificates.  Previously, he was CEO of Potomac Systems, a leading industry consulting firm in card and systems technologies, payment systems and electronic commerce.  Cunningham has extensive experience in the smart card industry, including serving as president & CEO for Gemplus Card International, the North American subsidiary of Gemplus. He began his career at NCR where served in various management roles. 

 

For the past twenty years Cunningham has been actively involved and committed to the wireless industry, having served on multiple trade association boards including Electronic Funds Transfer Association, Smart Card Forum, Smart Card Industry Association, and Smart Card Alliance. In addition, Raak Technologies is a founding member of the WLAN Smart Card Consortium, where Cunningham serves on the executive committee and as Chairman of the Business Committee. Cunningham is also a member of the executive steering committee of the Austin Wireless Alliance. The Austin Technology Council is a founding organization of the Austin Wireless Alliance.
